Workbox caching strategies
When caching a web service with Workbox, you need to know the following two methods.
- Precaching
- Precaching is a caching method that caches a web application in advance, before it is accessed.
- Runtime Caching
- Runtime caching is a caching method that stores server responses in cache storage for the requests made while the web application is running.
- Resources such as images usually have large file sizes, which lengthens the service worker installation time on the first page visit, so it is better to handle them with runtime caching.
