About
- Like a blog's Pingback, a feature that notifies a post that it has been linked to or mentioned elsewhere
- Notifications can include data
- Like, Retweet, Reply, etc. can be bundled into a single information structure
- Works by adding a Webmention endpoint to the page header, then recording and displaying the received webmentions
- With the Webmention.io service made by IndieWeb, webmentions can be collected just by adding it to the header, without any separate implementation
- With the Bridgy service, webmentions are collected automatically when a link to your site is posted on Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, GitHub, Mastodon, Reddit, etc.
