Vector graphics, in computer science, refers to the use of objects such as points, lines, curves, and polygons based on mathematical equations to display images. It is also called object-oriented graphics (North Korean standard language: daesang jihyang geuraphikseu).
Vector graphics is an alternative to raster graphics, which represents images as a collection of pixels, as is common in photographs.
