A vacuum intuitively means a state in which nothing exists. Just as 0 represents nothing in mathematics, a vacuum is also seen as the metaphysical concept of nothingness revealed in the physical, real world.
In the English-speaking world, the word Vacuuming already seems to be in everyday use, meaning "running the vacuum cleaner".
