Ubuntu:NetworkConfiguration

lastmod 2026-01-05created 2025-11-136 edits

Before Ubuntu 17.10

Uses the /etc/network/interfaces file, based on the ifupdown package. See the Debian:NetworkConfiguration page.

Ubuntu 17.10 and later

Starting with Ubuntu 17.10 (Artful Aardvark), Netplan was adopted as the default network configuration tool.

Using the legacy method (if needed)

If you still want to use the old method:

# Install ifupdown (ifupdown 설치)
sudo apt install ifupdown

# Disable Netplan (Netplan 비활성화)
sudo systemctl stop systemd-networkd
sudo systemctl disable systemd-networkd
