Sharing USB devices over a network
About
USB/IP aims to share USB devices over an IP network. To share all the functions of a USB device, it encapsulates USB I/O messages and sends and receives them over TCP.
Without changing the USB device's driver or the applications that use it, you can use a remote USB device as if it were directly connected to the local computer.
