A WIP port of Descent to Three.js.

About

• Descent, a 3D shooter released in the 1990s, ported into a form that runs in the web environment
• Three.js creator @mrdoob personally converted the source, which had been released in C, using Claude Code
• Loads the original game's resource file DESCENT.PIG to reproduce the graphics and sound
• The converted JS source code is published on GitHub under the MIT license: https://github.com/mrdoob/three-descent
• The development process is posted on X: https://x.com/mrdoob/status/2019639702438179153
• The repo includes the shareware version files, so only Episode 1 is playable. For the full game, you need to replace them with your own files
