A tenant refers to a user who shares a software instance in cloud infrastructure/service delivery models. A tenant (literally, an occupant) can be a single user or a group of users with specific access permissions.
Here, a software instance can be thought of as follows: within the blueprint called a class, each individual function, product, etc. is an instance. A class is a state in which only the structure is defined before it is actually used, and an instance is a function that operates within the class; generally, a class without instances exists only as a bare structure.
