Sysctl
lastmod 2025-12-16created 2023-10-167 edits
sysctl is a feature of some Unix-like operating systems that reads and modifies attributes of the system kernel, such as version numbers and security settings. It is available both as a system call for compiled programs and as an administrative command that can also be used in scripts. Linux additionally makes sysctl available as a virtual file system.
