Hosting an SQLite DB on GitHub Pages

Features

• A way to use a full-featured SQLite DB on a static web page without a backend
• Compiles SQLite to WASM with emscripten and uses sql.js as the JS Wrapper
  • Since sql.js is memory-based, it was changed to read the DB via HTTP Range requests (httpvfs)
  • Page size set to 1 KiB to keep requests small (default 4 KiB)
• Since the DB runs in the browser, the DOM can also be used like a DB
• Works on any static page host besides GitHub, such as GitLab Pages and Netlify
