Sound effect

Sound effects (SE, SFX) is a term for the sounds in a soundtrack other than the usual soundtrack elements of dialogue, music, and narration, or for sounds that are intentionally added. They are also used in television, radio, film, theater, and more. It is the effective use of sounds between scenes and off-screen sounds to heighten not only the performers' dialogue but also the dramatic effect. These can be realistic or unrealistic sounds, but they are distinguished from what is commonly called music. They are also one of the important elements in commercial films.
