• No user IDs, not even random numbers
• Uses anonymous pairwise temporary identifiers created separately for each connection. No long-term identifiers are used
• You can choose the servers used to send and receive messages, so every conversation uses 2 different servers
• Designed not to use user metadata, starting from the application level
  • Can also connect to messaging servers via Tor to further improve privacy and protect the IP address
• Only client devices store user profiles, contacts, and groups; transmitted messages use 2-layer E2E encryption
