A fully managed NSSM alternative that can run any app as a Windows service
About
- Lets any application run as a Windows service, with fine-grained control over the working directory, startup type, process priority, logging, health checks, environment variables, dependencies, pre-launch scripts, and more
- Provides both a GUI and a CLI, supporting interactive management and integration into automation pipelines
- Makes up for the limitations of the sc tool built into Windows (notably always running from C:\Windows\System32) and for NSSM's missing features/UI
- Can run a pre-launch script before the service starts, to prepare the environment, load secret keys, perform configuration, and so on. Whether the service still starts on failure is configurable
- Supports stdout/stderr log redirection + size-based log rotation, with built-in zombie process prevention and resource cleanup
- Automatically restarts the app when it stops, crashes, or hangs, and can keep apps on almost any runtime running as services, including Node.js, Python, .NET, Java, Go, Rust, PHP, and Ruby
- Plans to offer advanced features such as a service dashboard, log viewer, notifications, and remote management through the upcoming Servy Manager App
- Supports Windows 7–11 x64 and Windows Server
- MIT license
