Self-driving car

A driverless car (English: autonomous car, driverless car, self-driving car, robotic car), or self-driving car, is a car that can drive automatically without a human driver. A driverless car perceives its surroundings with radar, LIDAR (light detection and ranging), GPS, and cameras, and drives autonomously once a destination is specified. Driverless cars already in practical use include unmanned vehicles operated by the Israeli military that patrol preset routes, and unmanned operation systems for dump trucks and similar vehicles operated at overseas mines and construction sites.
