A schedule or timetable is one of the basic time management tools, consisting of a list of times in which possible tasks, events, or actions planned for the future, and their occurrences, are arranged in chronological order. The work of creating a schedule, that is, deciding how to arrange these items and how to allocate resources among the various possible items, is called scheduling, and the person responsible for creating a particular schedule is called a scheduler. Creating and keeping schedules is also an ancient human activity.
In some situations, such as when the performance of daily activities depends on environmental factors beyond human control, schedules can be uncertain. People who are on vacation, trying to relieve stress, or resting may deliberately avoid scheduling during certain times.
