What is the product safety management system?
In the product safety management system, a “product” refers to an article used ultimately by consumers, or its parts or accessories. (“Framework Act on Product Safety”, Article 3 (Definitions)) These include general household goods, automobiles, food, pharmaceuticals, industrial products, and so on, and according to the characteristics of each product, the competent central administrative agency operates individual laws such as the “Electrical Appliances Safety Control Act” and carries out product safety management.
How to check a self-regulatory safety confirmation declaration certificate
- Go to the website.
- Click the Product Certification Information > Product Certification Information Search menu.
- Enter the self-regulatory safety confirmation declaration certificate number to check whether the product is registered.
