An extension that adds graph DB features to SQLite

About

  • An extension that provides graph DB features by combining the reliability of SQLite with the expressiveness of Cypher
    • Cypher is a declarative query language for GraphDBs developed by Neo4j
  • Aims for full Cypher query support; currently CREATE, MATCH, WHERE, RETURN clauses work
  • Supports graph manipulation via SQL functions
    • Provides graph_node_add(), graph_edge_add(), graph_count_nodes(), etc.
  • Manages nodes and edges directly inside SQLite through graph virtual tables
  • Includes basic graph algorithms : connectivity checks, density calculation, centrality (degree centrality) support
  • Provides Python bindings, usable directly in Python 3.6+ environments
  • Thread-safe, so it runs stably in parallel environments
  • Architecture
    • Integrates with SQLite via the Virtual Table Interface
    • The Storage Engine uses a JSON-based property storage structure
    • The Cypher execution engine has a parser → logical planner → physical planner → executor structure
    • Efficient query execution with Volcano model-based iterators
