Any software testing method that looks for regression bugs can be called regression testing (also non-regression testing). A regression bug is a problem in a software feature that previously worked correctly. Regression bugs usually occur unintentionally while the program is being changed.
A common regression testing method is to rerun previously executed tests and check whether previously fixed bugs reappear.
