A CLI tool for peeking into the node_modules folder

Features

  • A CLI tool that instantly finds the version and install path of any module in the node_modules folder
  • Faster than npm list and yarn list, with no unnecessary output; it focuses on search/browse speed and an intuitive interface, giving only the information you need
  • Provides fuzzy-search, pattern matching, tracking why a module is installed, duplicate module detection, and more
  • Supports both npm and yarn projects; you can see at a glance whether multiple versions of a module exist, the dependency structure, the latest version info, and so on
  • Runs right away without installation via the bunx qnm and npx qnm commands, so it can be used lightly without polluting the environment
    • Example: entering bunx qnm lodash shows the install location of each lodash version in the project, the latest version, release info, etc.
    • With no arguments, all packages can be browsed with fzf-style fuzzy search
    • Global install if needed: npm i --global qnm
  • Main commands and options
    • doctor: diagnoses duplicates and the largest packages in node_modules
    • list(ls): prints the full package list; --deps shows only direct dependencies
    • match [string]: lists all modules matching a given pattern
    • homepage: opens the package's homepage URL directly in the browser
    • --no-remote: disables remote data and quickly shows only local info
    • -o, --open: opens the package's package.json file directly in the editor
