An AI that generates 3D models

Features

• Open-source code and paper for generating 3D Point Cloud models from text prompts
  • The E in Point-E stands for Efficiency. Much faster than existing 3D object generation
  • Not a typical 3D model, but a form made up of a cloud of points. Cannot represent fine shapes or textures
  • To get past this limitation, an additional AI system is set up to convert the point cloud into a mesh
• Can generate a 3D model in 1-2 minutes on a single NVidia V100 GPU
