Physical AI, or generative physical AI, is a technology that enables autonomous systems such as robots, self-driving cars, and smart spaces to perceive and understand objects in the real physical world and to perform complex actions. Physical AI extends current generative AI based on an understanding of spatial relationships and physical behavior in the 3D world.
Depending on its main technology level and form, it is classified into humanoid, self-driving car, drone, and AGV&AMR types, and is used in forms specialized for various industrial environments.

Robots using physical AI
- Humanoid: has both gross and fine motor skills, along with the ability to perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the physical world.
- AMR(Autonomous Mobile RObot): can navigate complex environments and avoid obstacles, including humans, using direct feedback from onboard sensors.
- Surgical robots: demonstrate the accuracy and adaptability of physical AI by learning delicate tasks such as threading needles and suturing.
