The Dispatcher Servlet exists to act as the front controller for handling client requests.

Whatever the URL coming from the client, this servlet intercepts the client's request before passing it to the controller as a request object. For reference, DispatcherServlet is in the Spring library spring-webmvc-3.1.0.RELEASE.jar.

This class has the following signature.
