An app that detects nearby smart glasses
About
- An Android app that analyzes Bluetooth signals to detect nearby smart glasses and display warnings, identifying devices such as Meta Ray-Ban and Snap Spectacles
- Detection is based on manufacturer ID codes in BLE advertising packets (e.g., Meta, Luxottica, Snap), with possible false positives from VR headsets and similar devices
- The app does not collect personal information and has no ads or remote transmission features; logs are saved only when the user exports them manually
- Provides various user settings such as RSSI threshold configuration, log output, manual manufacturer ID entry, and multilingual support
- The developer regards smart glasses as a privacy-invasive technology, and the app helps users become aware of and cautious about their surroundings
