unwiki is a personal wiki, organized by field, centered on software engineering and computer science and extending to mathematics, the natural sciences, and the humanities. It began as a set of notes in which the tools, libraries, concepts, and commands I looked up while developing were written up one page at a time so they would be easy to find again.
What it covers
- Software engineering and computer engineering - programming languages, libraries and frameworks, development tools, operating systems, networks, databases
- Information security - cryptography, authentication, security tools and concepts
- Mathematics and natural sciences - from math concepts needed for development to basic sciences such as physics and chemistry
- Humanities and social sciences - short pages on topics of interest
You can find all pages in the Sitemap, and pages by field in the field menu on the left and on the home page.
How it is run
- Pages are written by the operator in MediaWiki, then converted with a static site generator (MkDocs) and published.
- Below each page title, the last modified date, created date, and edit count are shown.
- Below the body of each page, a list of other pages that link to it is shown.
- When other material is quoted or referenced, a source link is left in the page.
- Short pages with little content are excluded from search engine indexing.
About accuracy
The pages on unwiki are notes that one person has studied and written up. I try to write accurately, but some content may be outdated or wrong. For important decisions, please also check the official documentation and the original sources. If you let me know about anything incorrect, I will check it and fix it.
