A high-performance file client for Amazon S3
Features
- Easily mount an S3 bucket on the local file system and copy at high speed
- After mounting, objects can be accessed with file calls such as open/read (file commands are automatically translated into object API calls)
- Optimized for read-heavy workloads, and intentionally does not implement the full POSIX spec
- Open source written in Rust by AWS Labs itself; supports Linux only
- Still an alpha release, so not recommended for production use
