Subfields of Marketing

Marketing is a field of business administration that manages exchange relationships or demand. It refers to all activities that create, maintain, and manage customers among consumers to turn them into regular customers, that is, all activities related to customers. Marketing has been seen as a creative industry that includes advertising, sales, and so on, and was limited to predicting the future needs and wants that consumers might have. Since the 21st century, however, marketing has come to mean the act or motive of stimulating a latent desire and bringing it to the surface, and the scope of the term has moved beyond the market, so that the word marketing also appears in everyday activities.

Marketing includes the whole series of actions concerned with how to structure and deliver selling, as well as the act of stimulating the latent desires the other party has about oneself so that they come to need it, and the business activities for smoothly transferring goods and services from producers to consumers. In other words, marketing is combining the wishes of producers and consumers to supply efficiently. Activities for this include market research, merchandising, sales promotion, publicity and advertising, and digital marketing.
