A tool for tracing process behavior at high resolution
Features
- Uses Intel Processor Trace. High-Resolution Trace, not sampling
- About 2%~10% overhead
- Traces every function call within about 40ns
- Renders the call stack timeline within 10ms
- Supported environments
- Linux only, since it depends on Perf
- Intel Skylake and later CPUs
- x86_64
- OCaml, C, C++, Rust, Python (decodes C Frames only)
- Exceptions are not currently supported. Support planned
