Features
- Traditional time series databases existed separately as a single SW component
- However, making good use of them required installing other web servers, MQTT servers, etc.
- Many tasks such as authentication, installation, data loading, and extraction were also needed at the same time
- Typically, coding such as JSON conversion was also needed to integrate different kinds of charts
- In other words, even writing a simple application involved many small tasks where the side work outweighed the main work
- Neo integrates all features outright so that developers need no other work
- Seems good for data analysts to use as well
Supported features are as follows
- Built-in HTTP web server (Rest-API)
- Built-in MQTT server (really?)
- Built-in gRPC server
- Built-in SSH server (probably for secure channel communication)
- Built-in time series DB: (seems to integrate Machbase's fast library)
- X.509 certificate support
- Supports conversion of influxdb's lineprotocol
- Own visualization tool (from data input to visualization, quickly??)
- Data conversion directly within Neo using a language called TQL (ETL feature?)
- All work can be done through a web browser (really?)
- Supports FFT and 3D data analysis features (need to check the samples)
- Don't forget (sys/manager) when logging in (you have to dig through every corner of the manual to find it)
