Installing Linux and the basics

• Download Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS (Focal Fossa)
  • How to verify the checksum (SHA256SUMS): sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
• Making a bootable USB for installing Linux
  • Ubuntu - use the Startup Disk Creator application. (included by default)
  • Windows - use the Etcher (recommended) or Rufus application.
