A linked list is a data structure that stores data in nodes linked in a line, where each node holds data and a pointer. As the name says, the nodes holding the data are linked together, and each node's pointer handles the link to the next or previous node.
Types of linked lists include the singly linked list and the doubly linked list.
A linked list has the advantage that data can be added or deleted in O(1) time even in the middle of the node chain. However, unlike arrays or tree structures, it also has the disadvantage that finding the data at a specific position takes O(n) time.
