A Kafka terminal client
About
- A terminal-based tool for both operators and developers that simplifies operating Kafka clusters
- Supports powerful search/management features such as multi-cluster management, topic creation/modification/deletion, record viewing (text/JSON/Avro), consumer group monitoring, and schema registry integration
- Each cluster can be managed separately via a config file (~/.config/ktea/config.conf); supports SASL (SSL/PLAIN) authentication and more
- Easy to install on Mac with Brew; Linux/Windows binaries are also available
- Also provides a docker-compose environment for local development and tools for data generation and simulation
- Future plans
- Additional authentication methods and message formats (protobuf, etc.) planned
- Feature expansion planned, including ACL management, file-based topic import/export, and deleting specific schema versions
