• Aims to be a more-than-minimal JVM implementation that produces the same results as the OpenJDK-based JVM
• Design and implementation place importance on consistent, clear code
• In development for 2 years
• No JNI (replaced by JEP 389), no Security Manager (JEP 411), no JIT
• GC is handled by the Golang Runtime
