jimaek/geolocation-tool: Geo locate any IP to a physical location using latency CLI tool that uses latency to estimate the location of an IP address at the country, state, and city level Uses more than 3000 probes on the Globalping network to run ping and traceroute measurements for each IP, and compares latency step by step from continent → country → state → city, judging the region with the lowest value to be the actual location In tests, showed accuracy matching ipinfo's results for Poland, Florida, Miami, and others As an open-source CLI tool anyone can run, it demonstrated the practicality of latency-based IP location verification See also
