Information technology (IT) or information and communication technology (ICT) is the field of tangible and intangible technologies that form the infrastructure of society, such as telecommunications, broadcasting, computing (information processing, computer networks, computer hardware, computer software, multimedia), and communication networks. In a broad sense, information and communication technology is a concept that collectively expresses the technical means used in every stage of information flow, such as collecting, processing, storing, searching, sending, and receiving information.
