Indiegogo is an international crowdfunding website founded in 2008 by Danae Ringelmann, Slava Rubin, and Eric Schell. Its headquarters are in San Francisco, California. The site was one of the first to offer crowdfunding. Indiegogo lets people promote products and raise funds for ideas, charity, and startup businesses. Indiegogo charges a 5% fee on contributions. On top of this fee, a Stripe credit card processing fee of 3% + $0.30 (per transaction) is added. 15,000,000 people visit the site every month.
