ISO/IEC 9126 Software engineering — Product quality was an international standard for the evaluation of software quality. It has been replaced by ISO/IEC 25010:2011.

- Capability of the software product to provide functions that meet stated and implied needs
Reliability
- Capability to maintain a specified level of performance when used under specified conditions
- Capability of the SW product to let users prevent errors
Usability
- Capability of the SW product to be easily understood, learned, and preferred by users
Efficiency
- Degree of performance provided relative to the resources used
- Degree of support required to perform the required functions
Maintainability
- Capability of the SW to be changed, such as modified or improved, according to the operating environment, requirements, and functional specifications
Portability
- Capability of the SW to be moved to other environments, such as other HW and SW
- Degree of the SW's capability to be transferred to another environment
