Heat sink

A heat sink is an environment or object that absorbs and dissipates heat from another object, using thermal contact directly or indirectly. Heat sinks are widely applied wherever efficient heat dissipation is needed, for example in refrigerators, heat engines, coolers, and lasers.

The computer cooling device that Koreans usually call a cooler (Cooler) is mainly called a heat sink in English-speaking countries.
