Heartbleed

Heartbleed is a software bug in OpenSSL, an open-source cryptography library, discovered in April 2014. According to the announcement, about 17% (about 500,000) of secure web servers certified by certificate authorities were in a state where private keys, session cookies, and passwords could be stolen through this attack.
