Hangul (한/글), or Arae-a Hangul, is a word processor developed by Hancom (Hangul and Computer). The product name is written as ᄒᆞᆫ글, using ㆍ (arae-a), a letter no longer used in modern Korean, and is also written as 'HWP (short for Hangul Word Processor)', Arae-a Hangul, or 한/글. Hangul is the most widely used word processor program in South Korea. It started on DOS, is now developed mainly for Microsoft Windows, and is also made for Unix, Linux, Macintosh, Android, and iPhone.

Document files created in Hangul have the file extension .hwp, and can be saved as .hwt to save them as form documents. Since 2010, OWPML, the open document format of HWP, has been registered as KS X 6101, and it supports the extensions .hwpx or .owpml..
