The History interface provides a way to manipulate the browser session history, that is, the history of the tab or frame in which the current page is loaded.
Properties
The History interface does not inherit any properties.
-
History.length - Read only
- Returns an integer representing the length of the session history, including the current page.
-
History.scrollRestoration - Lets you specify whether the scroll position is restored when navigating history. Possible values are
autoandmanual.
-
History.state - Read only
- Returns a value representing the state at the top of the history stack. This is a way to see the state of the current history entry without waiting for a #popstate event.
