Google Cloud Platform is Google's cloud computing service that offers hosting on the same supporting infrastructure that Google uses internally for end-user products such as Google Search and YouTube. Cloud platform providers offer developer products for building a range of programs, from simple websites to complex applications.

Troubleshooting
The authorized_keys file disappears
The ~/.ssh/authorized_keys file disappearing or being modified on GCP is mainly caused by GCP's automated SSH key management system.
GCP instances run google-guest-agent by default, and this agent periodically reads the SSH keys from the instance metadata and automatically regenerates authorized_keys.
# 게스트 에이전트 상태 확인 (Check guest agent status)
sudo systemctl status google-guest-agent
# 게스트 에이전트 로그 확인 (View guest agent logs)
sudo journalctl -u google-guest-agent
There is a place to register SSH pubkeys under "Cloud Console → Compute Engine → Metadata". (But for me it didn't update even after registering.)
