GlusterFS is a scalable NAS file system. It integrates multiple storage servers over Ethernet or InfiniBand into one large parallel network file system. It is used for services such as cloud computing, streaming media services, and content delivery networks. GlusterFS was originally developed by a company called Gluster, but was acquired by Red Hat in 2011.
