Generic programming is a programming style that increases reusability by focusing on techniques that do not depend on data types and allow a single value to have several different data types.
Generic programming studies how to systematically combine various useful software components; its goal is to advance algorithms, data structures, memory allocation mechanisms, and various other software mechanisms to raise their reusability, modularity, and ease of use to a higher level.
