Game design is the process of designing the rules and content of a game in order to express fun. The term is also used to refer to the design style of a game that has already been made, or to a document describing its design.

  • Smithsonian Open Access releases 4.5 million images into the public domain
    • Materials from the Smithsonian's 21 museums, 9 research centers, libraries, archives, and the National Zoo
    • Includes 2D and 3D images. All can be downloaded for free and modified and used as you like (CC-0 license)
    • Materials are still being added. More will be added as all 150 million items in the collection are digitized

  • Skribbl - A collection of free hand-drawn illustrations (illustrations usable anywhere, personal or commercial, without attribution). The PNGs can be downloaded for free (per-artist SVG bundles can be bought for $1+ each)
