Features
- A tool that uses OpenAI LLMs to analyze the issues of a GitHub project and automatically assign appropriate labels
- Works from a label list file provided by the user, reading the issues of a given repository and choosing suitable labels
- Uses gpt-4o-mini as the default model; the model, label file, and dry-run option can be set flexibly on the command line
- Adding a .gail-labels file to the project root makes it use that file automatically, so it runs easily with no extra configuration
- Originally developed to clean up more than 200 open issues in libffi, and it worked better than expected
- Uses ocicl to install dependencies
