The virtual keyboard (vKeyboard), widely used as a security program on financial and government websites, is one of the main factors that make crawling difficult. In response, this introduces a Python library that provides a way to bypass virtual keyboards.
Virtual keyboard bypassing works by analyzing similarity against pre-captured images. To do this, first prepare the virtual keyboard images and data using vKeypad-Studio.
How to use vKeypad-Studio
- Prepare the virtual keyboard image.
- Upload the virtual keyboard image in Figma.
- In Figma, use the rectangle tool to cover each key of the virtual keyboard.
- Export your Figma work as an SVG file.
- In the terminal, enter the command vkeypad-studio [image file] [SVG file].
- In the newly opened window, press the keyboard key that corresponds to the image.
- Keep the image files in the generated assets folder and the data.json file separately.
You can now use the Python library that performs virtual keyboard bypassing with the prepared data. This lets you bypass the virtual keyboards of government or financial sites and carry out crawling more smoothly.
