About
Unlike Google's existing operating systems, Chrome OS and Android, which use Linux as their kernel, this one uses a microkernel called Zircon. Zircon was developed in-house by Google based on a microkernel called LK, and in its early days it was named Magenta.
Google has stated that it will be an operating system targeting a variety of devices, including PCs. Separately from this, it is an IoT-dedicated operating system.
