Securely run AI-generated code in stateful sandboxes that run forever.
A sandbox that safely runs and persists AI-generated code
About
- A code execution API that safely runs arbitrary Python code in a remote sandbox and returns the result
- Unlike typical code interpreters, it has no concept of sessions, so state never expires
- Uses resources efficiently by saving a memory snapshot when the sandbox is idle and restoring it when needed
How does it work?
- Once you create a ForeverVM machine, you can interact with it through a REPL (Read-Eval-Print Loop) interface
- While the machine is active, it is assigned to an available worker
- When the sandbox goes idle, a memory snapshot is saved and it is detached from the worker
- While idle, it only takes up storage space and uses no compute or memory resources
- When it receives a new execution command, it is restored from the saved state and assigned to a new worker.
This process is transparent to API users, and ForeverVM behaves like a REPL that is always ready to run
Integrates with Claude Desktop, Goose, and more
- ForeverVM can be used as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server
- This lets you add ForeverVM as a tool in Claude Desktop and other MCP clients
