Explainable AI (XAI) refers to artificial intelligence that presents the reasons for its decisions in a way humans can understand. It is a concept contrasted with 'black box' AI, where even the designers of the algorithm cannot explain the reason for a particular decision. By resolving uncertainty, it can increase trust in AI. DARPA is running a project aimed at a 'glass box', with a budget of about 80 billion won.
