An explanation of event triggers.
Level Trigger
Fires when an interrupt occurs and its level is asserted. (i.e., while the event is occurring)
- High-level trigger
- Low-level trigger
Edge Trigger
Fires when an interrupt occurs (when an electrical signal arrives on the interrupt line) and the level rises or falls. (i.e., at the moment the event occurs)
- Rising-edge trigger
- Falling-edge trigger
